We typically respond within 24 hours. Including your source board's column setup makes answers fast.
Columns (presence, title, description, position), status and dropdown labels (presence, color, order), and groups (presence, name, color, order) — compared against your source board. Item data is never read or changed.
No. The app reads and writes board structure only. It never reads, creates, changes, or deletes items or their values.
No. Delete, archive, and type-change operations don't exist in the app — by design. Extra columns or groups on a target board are reported with numbered steps so you decide what happens to them in monday.
Some differences are on purpose — a client board with an extra column, a renamed group. Mark such a difference intentional from its row's ⋯ menu: it leaves the report (select-all can never touch it) and moves to a reversible "Intentional differences" section. "Report again" brings it back. Marks are remembered per board.
Three reasons. Removing extras would delete data, and the app contains no delete operation. monday's API doesn't allow changing a column's type — for any app. And monday keeps automations, views, and permissions closed to every marketplace app. In each case the app gives you clear, numbered steps instead of pretending.
monday viewer seats have no API access, so BoardAlign can't read boards for viewer accounts. Open the view from an editor seat to run checks.
Only its configuration — your board selections, intentional marks, and internal column bookkeeping — inside monday's own app storage on your account. Nothing leaves the monday platform. See the Privacy Policy.
